Newlands Junior College was set up in Glasgow two years ago by businessman and entrepreneur Jim McColl to give young people a fresh opportunity with education and chance to get work ready.

McColl said: “On June 22, all 20 students from the first intake will graduate from NJC with a combination of academic, vocational and personal development qualifications.

“Every one of them is headed for an apprenticeship or a place in further education to continue with their studies.

“I have watched their development over the past two years and am immensely proud of their application, hard work and achievements.”
