Professor Tahseen Jafry, Dr Michael Mikulewicz and Dr Karin Helwig pulled together the work of 64 authors from 20 disciplines based in 16 countries across five continents for the Routledge Handbook of Climate Justice.
Addressing the need for a comprehensive and integrated reference compendium, the book provides students, academics and professionals with a valuable insight into this fast-growing field, drawing together some of the world’s leading climate justice scholars, activists, and practitioners from the Global North and South.
With an emphasis on facilitating learning based on cutting-edge specialised climate justice research and application, each chapter draws from the most recent sources, real-world best practices and tutored reflections on the strategic dimensions of climate justice and its related disciplines.
Professor Jafry said: “This has been a truly mammoth task. It has taken two years to complete but we are extremely delighted to finally see this in print.
“We are grateful to all the authors who have put their time and commitment to this Handbook and to Ken Rice for the very striking front cover image, which was based on work done with primary schools with the Caledonian Club. We will be running a book launch in the New Year.”
