The UWS Midwifery Society has received the Student Midwife Experience Festival Trailblazer Award for its contribution to the midwifery community.
The award was presented during the Student Midwife Festival, which took place on Lanarkshire campus on 11 January 2023.
UWS Midwifery Society is led by senior students – under the direction of Midwifery Lecturer, Sheona Brown, and advocates for student midwife support in education and clinical practice, holding and supporting several events over the year.
The Division of Midwifery & Specialist Nursing, and, wider School of Health & Life Sciences, is immensely proud of this group for their endeavors and this well-earned award.
