The awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 21 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.

The Scottish Hospitality Awards 2019 acknowledged the achievements of local professionals and establishments, from restaurants, bars and hotels to festivals and venues that have stand out from the rests due to their dedication to the customer satisfaction.

The winners, who are chosen by members of the general public, are a true reflection of the commitment, quality and impeccable customer service that flow in the Scottish hospitality industry.

This year’s Glasgow Science Festival runs from Thursday, June 6 to Sunday, June 16, featuring a programme of innovative events to spark curiosity and trigger the imagination.

The theme is ‘Glasgow STEAMS Ahead’, linking with steam-engine innovator James Watt, who kick-started the industrial revolution and died 200 years ago.

‘STEAMS’ encompasses not only Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – but also the fantastic Arts and Social Sciences research that shapes the city.

There’s plenty to see and do, from large-scale family days at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum to art – science exhibitions, talks in the pub and even an engineering-themed circus event!
