Glasgow-founded recruitment tech scaleup Willo has appointed Jim Berrisford as its new vice president of partnerships, marking what co-founder and CEO Euan Cameron described as a “pivotal year” for the company.
Berrisford brings more than twenty years’ experience in the talent sector, spanning recruitment, in-house acquisition, and senior commercial and partnerships roles with vendors including Vonq and Reezomo. He has also held leadership roles across sales and partnerships, working with applicant tracking systems, HR tech platforms, job boards and RPO providers, and was recently appointed to the board of the Association of RecTech Providers.
In his new role, Berrisford will lead Willo’s global partner strategy, focusing on scalable infrastructure and developer toolkits embedded with ATS and HCM providers. His remit includes building new strategic alliances across the hiring ecosystem, strengthening existing relationships, and ensuring Willo integrates seamlessly within customers’ tech stacks.
The expanded partnerships function will support Willo’s continued international growth, working closely with product, sales and customer teams across the UK, North America and other priority markets, with further hires planned over the coming year.
The appointment follows a period of rapid expansion for the company. Willo recently opened new offices in Glasgow and Manchester and continues to grow its presence in North America, where it already generates more than half its revenue. In 2024, the firm secured a £3 million investment from Peter Bauer to support expansion and launch new tools to help employers sift through CVs and profiles.
Since launching in 2020, Willo has experienced 64-fold revenue growth, with its platform now operating in 195 countries and conducting millions of recruitment interviews each year. Cameron said Berrisford’s appointment will help ensure Willo becomes the most trusted and integrated video platform in its sector while supporting fair, efficient and human-led hiring.
