Wednesday 30 May 2018
The Westerwood Hotel, Cumbernauld

The SMAS National Manufacturing Conference returns to the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld on Wednesday 30 May, where 400 manufacturing leaders will gather to be inspired, learn, network and debate.

Sponsored by the Bank of Scotland, the 2018 conference features a stellar line-up of keynote speakers including Professor Juergen Maier, CEO of Siemens UK and author of the UK Government’s recently published industrial strategy Made Smarter Review.

Other manufacturing heavyweights joining him on the main stage will be Sarah Jardine, Director of Manufacturing at Optos plc; Sanjeev Gupta, Executive Chairman of Liberty Steel and Tom Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Airbus.

If that’s not enough, the jam-packed programme also includes practical case study led workshops; an exhibition showcasing solution providers and support organisations; a speakers’ corner; improvement rooms and a fabulous networking dinner on the evening of 29 May. Key topics for 2018 include Industry 4.0, Leadership, Investment, Skills, Business Excellence and the Circular Economy.

Who Attends?

400 senior manufacturing executives from across all manufacturing sectors in Scotland – from small SMEs through to large corporations – are expected to attend.
