The aim of the affiliation is to highlight the EDT’s continuum of programmes and in particular The Year in Industry placement programme, to Glasgow City school pupils and partner them with organisations associated with Glasgow City of Science.

The Year in Industry is a leading provider of UK-based work placements. The programme specialises in providing talented young people with high-quality placements in all areas of engineering, science, computing and business.

Glasgow City of Science is a pioneering partnership engaging an eclectic mix of organisations (including the academia, government, arts and culture, and business) which aims to build on, and profile, Glasgow and the West of Scotland’s offer as a world-class region of science, culture and place.

EDT joins an illustrious and eclectic list of Glasgow City of Science partners, which ranges from Glasgow City Council, local universities and colleges, and Glasgow Science Centre to Scottish Enterprise, Cineworld and the engineering giants Siemens. In total, Glasgow City of Science has 65 official partners.
