Dr Ramzan, a Lecturer in Games Design in the School of Engineering and Built Environment, has been shortlisted in the Creative Impact category, with the winner to be named in London on Thursday, May 19.
The awards aim to recognise and reward the contribution of women to the UK games industry.
Dr Ramzan has been recognised for her tireless work to make the Scottish Game Jam – which she founded – a flagship event in the Scottish games calendar, as well as her promotion of the success of women in the gaming industry.
Dr Ramzan is no stranger to awards, having been named Woman of the Future at the Scottish Asian Women’s Awards in 2014.
She said: “I was delighted and quite surprised to be shortlisted for this award. It’s an incredible honour to be in this category alongside all these incredibly talented women.”
