The college was the only Scottish institute to make it to the list of finalists and was the overall winner for Impact through Innovation category. The award recognises an organisation for being innovative in their diversity approach.

Paul Little, City of Glasgow College principal and chief executive, said: “This is an outstanding achievement for team city. Equality, diversity and inclusiveness are at the heart of all that we do – we are one of Stonewall’s top 100 employers – so we are, of course, delighted to have won this award. Our college serves a diverse community and our whole learning environment together with students and staff, policies and practices rightly reflect that multiplicity.”

The enei is the UK’s leading employer network covering all aspects of equality and inclusion issues in the workplace with the awards recognising the commitment of organisations in achieving diverse and inclusive workplaces.

There were 16 awards acknowledging a range of excellence and covering employers, teams and individuals which were presented at a formal ceremony hosted by the Law Society in London on Tuesday, July 10.
