Featuring acting, comedy, film and even a 1970s-style music video, this is physics and astronomy as you’ve never seen it before. The project has brought together Glasgow Science Festival, University of Glasgow physicists, actors and a musician for a truly collaborative venture.

Among the scientists involved is Professor Jim Hough, who has been researching the elusive waves since 1971. Professor Hough said: “I’m delighted to have been a part of this project, which will highlight Glasgow’s contribution to the discovery. I’m looking forward to seeing the final product.”

Prof Hough features in the show via a 1970s-style music video you can watch below:

The video also includes a cameo from Chief Scientific Adviser and Director of the Institute for Gravitational Research, Sheila Rowan and other scientists from the University of Glasgow, pulling their best dance moves.

Discover the story for yourself on Friday 9 December in Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall. For full details and booking visit http://www.glasgowsciencefestival.org.uk
