Cancer Research UK funds almost half of all cancer research in the UK but receives no government support. The charity has helped double cancer survival in the last 40 years. Today, two in four people survive the disease and the charity’s ambition is to see this figure rise to three in four by 2034.
Cancer Research UK scientists, including those at the world-class Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in Bearsden, Glasgow are making progress and advances in their fight to beat cancer thanks to the funds provided by Business Beats Cancer in Glasgow.
At the last event in February 2018, the Business Beats Cancer Dinner raised over £80,000 for Cancer Research UK, bringing the total raised in only three years by this event to over £200,000.
The next Business Beats Cancer Dinner will take place on Thursday February 28, 2019 at the Grand Central Hotel and all funds raised will be ring-fenced to be spent in Glasgow.
