This event is held in partnership with the University of Glasgow’s Polyomics research facility, the NHS West of Scotland Genetics Service, MRC Centre for Virus Research (CVR), Edinburgh Genomics, NHS South East Scotland Genetic Service & MRC Human Genetics Unit in Edinburgh. In conjunction with the conference there will be a one day workshop on 15th May that will provide Next Generation Sequencing data analysis training.
The conference will look at the latest developments in the use of Next Generation Sequencing tools and technologies to understand human disease. The scientific theme aims to bridge the gap between Clinical Genetics and University Genomic research and – amongst other subjects – it will cover:
- Next Generation Sequencing Applications and Workflows
- Personalized Genomics including
- 100,000 Genomes project updates
- Single Cell Genomics
- Legal/Ethical perspectives in genome analysis
- Clinical Whole Exome Sequencing
- Cancer and Rare Disease genomics
- Bioinformatics and Data Analysis
- Data Storage
The programme will also include a poster display for young researchers, a panel debate & a networking workshop.
Thanks to the kind hospitality of Glasgow City Council we will be able to offer a Complimentary Drinks Reception in the historical settings of Glasgow City Chambers to all attendees. An evening networking 3-course dinner at the Western Club Restaurant will allow participants to socialise in a relaxed atmosphere.
