The Inspiring City Awards, organised by The Herald and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, pay tribute to the people and businesses who make Glasgow great.
The pioneering scientist, who is Regius Professor of Medicine and Head of College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow, founded the Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre and was awarded a Damehood in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2016.
