An official feeder event series for Venturefest Scotland 2017; Art of the Possible provides a participatory innovation hub for the region’s diverse innovation community to explore new collaborative opportunities and ideas exchange that will drive innovation with impact – for both society and the wider economy.
The first ‘broadcast’ event of the Art of Possible series is designed to provide a unique opportunity to hear more about how you can maximise the potential of Quantum Technologies, both commercially and socially.
In December 2013, the UK government announced a £270 million work programme over 5 years to establish the UK as a world leader in this field. This new and exciting £1 billion sector is predicted to grow significantly over the next decade.
Glasgow is recognised worldwide for leading the way in Quantum Science; technologies which have a huge range of applications across multiple industry sectors, from quantum sensors (that can enable new types of camera that look around corners and remote gas detection systems) to imagers that can be used with aerial drones to map water content in crops and maximise agricultural yield.
