The Scottish Government has launched its new tech ecosystem fund which is supporting projects in Scotland’s technology sector.

The Ecosystem Fund is designed to support the organisations and activities that facilitate the community and market square of the Scottish tech ecosystem, supporting the best possible learning environment for technology start-ups to grow and succeed. For detailed information please see the Scottish Technology Ecosystem Review (STER).

This is Phase 1 of the Fund, specifically focussing on supporting tech meet-ups, events and broader activities which assist:

  • education
  • peer learning
  • networking
  • collaboration
  • sharing of expertise
  • exchange of ideas

You can apply for funding between £1,000 and £50,000.

The fund is open to applications from those seeking to develop or scale up initiatives which facilitate the community and market square dimensions of the Scottish tech ecosystem.

You must have either an existing track record of delivering events or meet ups that support the Scottish tech ecosystem or be able to demonstrate the ability to do so credibly.
