Students will learn about cutting edge diagnostic techniques vital to human and medical genetics. They will be involved in laboratory tests and techniques themselves, explore computational 3D structures of DNA and proteins and learn about genetic diseases and inheritance in families and the wider society.

The sessions will be delivered by some prominent experts attending the conference, by NHS professionals and researchers from the University of Glasgow, who will be on hand to talk informally with students about their future in science careers and give insight into what it’s like to work in the field of genetics.

The workshop will take place at Glasgow Science Centre on Friday 5th June. It is free, but places are strictly limited and given on a first come, first served basis. Booking is essential.
