The FUTUREquipped project is a flagship Scottish Funding Council investment in College-led innovation in Scotland. As a Tier 1 partner, and lead consultant, City of Glasgow College has taken a leading role in the design, delivery and outputs associated with the project.
The project has recently completed phase 1 which included staff development, curriculum design and service design. The project focuses on the integration of sensor technologies in smart housing with a view to improving quality of life and reducing the burden on health and social care services.
Phase two is currently underway with a focus on student engagement. The project has recently been nominated for ‘skills development project of the year’ at the Scottish Life Sciences Awards.
